Unrepentant Sin
- Ongoing unrepented sin (Rom 2:5)

- Doing anything that violates the two Greatest Commandments (Matt 22:36-40)

Love of the World

- Pride of life (1 John 2:16)
- Selfish Ambition (Phil 2:3)
Victim Mentality
- Not taking responsibility for our situation (Psalm 51:3-4)
- Blame Shifting (Gen 3:12-13) (Matt 7:3-5)
- Unforgiveness (Matt 18:34-35) (Matt 6:14-15) [by far the most common obstacles]
- Bitterness (Heb 12:15) (Duet 29:18-20)
- Chip on Shoulder / Stubborn Shoulder / Stiff Neck (Neh 9:29)
- Everyone is Against Me (Rom 8:31) (Gen 16:12)
Participation in the Occult
- (Deut 18:10-14, Lev 19:31, Lev 20:27, 2 Chron 33:6)
- Divination
- acquiring future or distant knowledge
- counterfeit to revelation gifts of Holy Spirit
- Magic
- counterfeit to power gifts of Holy Spirit
- Spiritualism
- communication with the dead
- Unconfessed, Unrenounced and Unrepentant
- Not doing these in humility before God will prevent us from obtaining freedom
- God is looking for a change of heart
- God is looking for evidence that we are willing to flee evil
- God is looking to see if we truly hate evil
