God's Kingdom

Dominion

  • Above All Other Dominion - all of which He Created - visible and invisible
    • Deut 10:17 (ESV) For the Lord your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God...
    • Psalm 145:13 (ESV) Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
    • Eph 1:16-23 (ESV) ...far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and above every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come.
    • Col 1:15-17 (ESV) 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation. 16 For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities — all things were created through him and for him. 17 And he is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

      There is only one reference, post-ascension, in the New Testament of the driving out of demons by a Christian - it was through miraculous signs performed by Philip in Acts 8:7, which was performed mainly on and for the benefit of unbelievers.
      Mark 16:9-20 and specifically in v17 Jesus refers to believers (post-ascension) driving out demons - but this text is NOT considered by most scholars to be authentic.
